Our Privacy Commitment
RangeSight is built with privacy at its core. No user accounts are required. All flight planning data stays on your device. We do not collect analytics or tracking data, and we do not sell your information to third parties.
1. INTRODUCTION
Noxdren, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the RangeSight mobile application (the "App" or "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By downloading, installing, or using RangeSight, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the App.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date of this Privacy Policy. You are encouraged to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed of updates.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
2.1 Information You Provide
RangeSight does not require a user account. When you use the App, you may voluntarily provide certain information that is stored locally on your device, including:
- Flight Planning Data: Drone selection, battery parameters, payload weights, flight altitude, speed settings, and other mission parameters you enter
- Saved Locations: Home locations or waypoints you choose to save within the App
- Preferences: App settings, unit preferences (metric/imperial), and display options
- Support Communications: If you contact us for support, we may collect your email address and the content of your communications
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you access or use the App, limited information may be collected automatically:
- Location Data: With your permission, we access your device's GPS coordinates to provide location-based weather data and map positioning. This data is processed locally on your device and is NOT transmitted to our servers. When you use the live weather feature, only your latitude and longitude are sent to our secure weather proxy to retrieve current conditions.
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
We explicitly DO NOT collect:
- Your actual flight paths, flight logs, or flight history
- Photos, videos, or media captured by your drone
- Real-time tracking of your drone's position during flight
- Personal identification documents or government IDs
- Financial or payment information (subscriptions are handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store)
- Analytics or usage tracking data
- Biometric data
- Social security numbers or tax identification numbers
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
3.1 Provide and Improve the Service
- Display your location on the map for flight planning purposes
- Fetch weather data for your current or selected location
- Calculate range estimates based on your inputs
- Save your preferences and settings for a personalized experience
- Improve, optimize, and develop new features for the App
3.2 Communications
- Respond to your inquiries, support requests, and feedback
- Send important notices about the App, such as updates or security alerts (you may opt out)
3.3 Quality and Stability
- Identify and fix bugs, errors, and performance issues based on user-reported feedback
- Improve the App based on community input and testing
3.4 Legal and Safety
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes
- Protect the rights, property, and safety of our users and the public
- Enforce our Terms of Service and other policies
4. DATA PROCESSING AND STORAGE
4.1 Local Processing
RangeSight processes all flight planning data locally on your device. Range calculations, saved preferences, drone profiles, calibration data, and location data are stored and processed on your device, NOT on our servers. This design choice maximizes your privacy and allows the App to function fully offline.
4.2 Data Transmitted to Third Parties
When you use certain features, limited data may be transmitted to third-party services:
- Weather Data Requests: When you use the live weather feature, only your latitude and longitude coordinates are sent through our secure weather proxy to retrieve current conditions. The proxy protects API keys server-side so they are never exposed in the app. No personal data is transmitted or stored during weather requests.
- Map Tile Requests: Your approximate map viewport location is sent to map tile providers to load map imagery. This is standard for any map-based application.
4.3 Data Retention
- Local Data: Data stored on your device remains until you clear the App data or uninstall the App
- Support Communications: Retained for as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry, typically no longer than 2 years
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
RangeSight integrates with the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing their data practices:
5.1 Weather Data Providers
- OpenWeatherMap: Provides real-time weather data. Privacy Policy: openweather.co.uk/privacy-policy
5.2 Map and Imagery Providers

6. DATA SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is not a product we monetize.
6.2 Limited Disclosure

6.3 No Data Collection for Sharing

- Limited access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and controlling access to it.
